Grow Your Own
The aloe plant has become increasingly popular over the years. What do you think? Can you grow your own aloe plant?
Try these 4 tips:
Tip 1: It doesn’t matter how small your plant is, start from somewhere. Get a plant from your local nursery.
Tip 2: Water once a month. The soil may look dry and it may look like the soil is getting smaller. That is okay! When you do water, saturate the soil. Not to overflow, but so the soil is once again moist.
Tip 3: The bigger the pot the bigger your plant will become. So replace your pot size every year.
Tip 4: It’s best to transplant your aloe during the spring or summer months.
All the best to you. You soon will have an Oasis of Aloe plants!
Pay it forward...
These baby aloe plants, aka offsets, pups or offshoots begin to come because you are doing a fabulous job; why not give them to a family or friend...
The general rule is to wait until the offset is at least one-fifth the size of the parent plant or has several sets of true leaves at least three to transplant.
